The Role

The Level 1/2 Paediatric Community Speech Pathologist is responsible for providing assessments, management and intervention for children aged from 0 to 18 years with communication difficulties, in collaboration with their parents, carers and family. The Speech Pathologist is responsible for utilising a range of service delivery options to provide effective and efficient clinical services, which may include individual, group parent training, programs, consultation, community capacity building and other models of care. Essential components of this role include direct client services, support and training to family members and carers, development of resources, documentation of all client care, quality improvement processes and administrative tasks as required.

Selection Criteria:
* Recognised Bachelor level degree, or equivalent, in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
* Well-developed time management skills including effectively using information technology.
* Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.
* Demonstrated commitment to improving services and participation in quality improvement activities.
* Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team, including multidisciplinary teamwork.
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and professional supervision processes.
* Current driver's licence.
* Experience managing a paediatric communication disorders caseload.
