The Role
Provides scientific and strategic leadership for the Energy Systems and Geological Storage Branch within the Geological Survey of Western Australia.
Provides strategic geoscientific planning advice to the Directorate, the Department, Government and the public in area of expertise.
Plays a leading role in communicating geoscientific results and translating geoscientific results into industry-related outcomes.
Leads and manages project-based geoscientific studies related to the onshore sedimentary basins, petroleum systems, geothermal and natural hydrogen systems, and carbon capture and storage, and ensures project or task milestones are met on budget and on schedule.
Liaises with industry, kindred bodies and professional organisations to identify industry trends.
Qualifications & Licenses
Bachelor of Science (Geoscience), or an approved equivalent qualification.
