Job Title: Advanced Medical Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Medical Practitioner to join our site-based medical services on an 8:6 roster at our Pilbara region facility.
\
Key Responsibilities:
\
\
1. Provide timely and patient-centric medical services, based on prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery principles, as well as prehospital care in a medical capacity.
\
2. Maintain and manage medical and emergency equipment and supplies.
\
3. Liaise with medical professionals and the Injury Management Team to coordinate care.
\
4. Ensure all medical records, forms, and statutory reporting are completed and confidentially managed.
\
5. Uphold compliance with relevant legislation and Poisons Licence requirements.
\
6. Support disease prevention strategies and remain current with best practices in patient care.
\
7. Review, update, and contribute to Emergency and Safety Management Plans.
\
8. Oversee medical aspects of emergency preparedness and response.
\
9. Conduct onsite fitness-for-work testing, including drug, alcohol, fatigue, mental health, and hydration assessments.
\
10. Participate in risk assessments, inductions, training, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
\
11. Promote health and safety, report hazards, and participate in debriefs.
\
12. Prepare weekly statistics, conduct inspections, and perform system audits as required.
\
\
Requirements:
\
\
13. Diploma in Paramedical Science or higher.
\
14. AHPRA Registration.
\
15. Current Driver's license (Manual).
\
16. Drug and Alcohol testing to ensure MRL Drug and Alcohol Standard testing requirements are adhered to.
\
17. Certificate 4 in WHS and TAE (desirable).
\
18. Certificate III Emergency Response & Rescue.
\
19. Experience in the mining and healthcare industry.
\
20. Demonstrate experience as a Medic in the mining industry.
\
21. Prior pre-hospital emergency care.
\
22. Remote medical experience.
\
