The Role
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop Foreman to lead day-to-day operations in our Renault & LDV service department. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance workshop productivity with coaching and developing technicians.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing and supporting technicians on the workshop floor
* Ensuring quality of work, compliance, and efficiency in repairs and servicing
* Allocating jobs and managing workflow to meet daily targets
* Working closely with the Service Manager to improve processes and customer outcomes
* Liaise with customers to understand their needs
* Diagnose issues with vehicles at times
* Coaching apprentices and building the skills of your team
About You
We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and leadership qualities. Ideally you will have:
* Minimum of 5+ years as a qualified technician (Renault/LDV experience highly regarded but not essential)
* Certificate 3 in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* A proven track record in a senior technician, leading hand, or foreman role
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A focus on teamwork, mentoring, and getting the best out of people
* Commitment to safety, compliance, and delivering excellent customer service
