Yoowinna Wurnalung Aboriginal Healing Service (YWAHS) is a Specialist Aboriginal Family Violence Service, which is an independent Not for Profit (NFP) organisation delivering services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples within the catchments of Wellington and East Gippsland Local Government Areas.
We provide culturally safe and holistic services including counselling, clinical and therapeutic support, and referral pathways. We develop, implement, and deliver family violence education and prevention programs, and provide advocacy and post-intervention support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families.
Our focus is on supporting the recovery and healing of Aboriginal victims, individuals, families, and communities affected by family violence, and providing support to perpetrators by linking them to programs and services that promote respectful and healthy relationships.
We prioritize Aboriginal-led solutions that are trauma-informed, culturally safe, and within holistic models of health and wellbeing.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Clinical Team Leader – Programs, the Men’s Behaviour Change Facilitator possesses strong communication, organisational, and counselling skills, and is committed to client-focused service delivery. The role involves engaging in a trauma-informed, multidisciplinary approach to healing.
The MBC Facilitator will handle the intake and assessment of men referred to the MBCP, as well as their partners and children.

Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
* A relevant qualification and/or experience within Health and Social Services
* Eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body
* Either No to Violence (NTV) Graduate Certificate in Social Science (Male Family Violence) OR willingness to undertake this qualification or be supervised by an MBC Facilitator with this qualification
