Work where trust, flexibility, and enjoyment aren't perks, they're the default.
Shape healthcare products as the company's UX expert while enjoying no stand-ups, zero micromanagement and full ownership of your work.
You'll lead UX design from your first day, working directly with the founder to translate vision into reality. With 100% remote work (East Coast Australia timezone preferred) and no time tracking, you can work how and when you perform best.
This is a direct path to own your craft at the highest level. You'll lead research, talk directly to customers, and solve complex problems that directly affect healthcare delivery. You'll also get flights every two months to catch up with the team in person - where you can eat far too much and laugh until your face hurts.
Other benefits include:
* Serious autonomy:
Own projects end-to-end, not just whether a button is round or square
* Design depth:
Work on complex, critical systems that demand clarity, thoughtfulness and real user understanding.
* Stable, grown-up startup:
Founder-owned, bootstrapped and profitable. No runway panic or endless pivots. Just focus on building and solving problems.
* Human-first culture:
No stand-ups, no micromanagement, no time tracking. Plus, regular team video game sessions on Fridays, if you're into that kind of thing
What you'll do
Lead UX discovery, research, and design across a real-time healthcare platform. You'll work directly with customers to understand real problems, and collaborate closely with the Founder, CTO and dev team to bring your solutions to life.
Take ownership of projects end-to-end, from early research through to shipped product. You'll produce clear documentation that captures both decisions and reasoning, and contribute to discussions around product direction and user experience.
What you'll need
* Senior-level UX experience with a portfolio that shows depth, process, and real impact
* Genuine skill in user research - able to translate surface-level feedback into what customers actually need
* Love for the details: microcopy, edge cases, and the strange things users do
* Clear communication and a methodical approach to documentation
* Comfort working independently and managing your own time
About the company
You'll be joining a bootstrapped, highly profitable, founder-owned startup
They build high-reliability, high-impact software for the medical sector - a suite of tools that help healthcare providers, aged care services, and medical logistics teams deliver care efficiently and reliably.
They're not a company that builds for everyone, and that's okay. They choose real problems that have a huge impact, and solve them the best way they can (often leading to some very interesting and unique design challenges).
And best of all, they've created an environment where everyone is truly treated like the high performing adult that they are, and can genuinely enjoy their work (and life) whilst doing it.
