Victorian Insurance Services Coordinator Job opportunity

**Your new company**

Join a state government organisation responsible for safety of our Victorian community. This team pride themselves on teamwork, adaptability, integrity and harmonious workplace.

They are currently searching for an experience Motor & Property Claims specialist to join the team and cover for parental leave. This role is a 6 month FTC but may be flexible in terms of longevity of the contract or number of hours per week you are looking to work. This role could also potentially lead to permanent employment!

**Your new role**
- Work independently, oversee, manage & coordinate Insurance claims (Both Property & Motor) program, coordinating repairs, assessments, recoveries and legal demands
- Provide quarterly reports for the Chief Risk Officer
- Coordinate and evaluate external motor vehicle repairers, assessors and legal representatives for recovery and settlement purposes with multiple suppliers located across the entire state of Victoria in a timely manner
- Liaise and work collaboratively with the team to ensure appropriate specialised replacement vehicles are provided during repair
- Review and update insurance policies and documentations
- Coordinate state-wide insurance training
- Make decisions on liability of claims and manage recovery of costs, instigate settlement or coordinate legal support and debt recovery services
- Maintain in-house online system and provide reports to internal and external stakeholders (including other government departments and agencies)
- Provide authoritative advice to the organisation on insurance and liability issues Review and finalise claims annually audit, including managing financial implications of final profile

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience and understanding of insurance claims (Experience in Motor & Property will be highly regarded)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Excellent negotiation skills to liaise with diverse range of people
- Demonstrated organisational and time-management skills
- Proven ability to analyse statistics and develop professional reports
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with mínimal supervision as well as part of a team
