Salary Classification: NT Christian Schools CT Scale PCT – CT 9
2024 Salary Range: $85,009 - $131,349, depending on qualifications and experience
Plus, superannuation contribution of 11.5% of your annual salary

Introduction
NT Christian Schools is a Christian organisation dedicated to advancing the Christian religion through education and religious instruction. As part of our religious ethos, all staff are required to deliver or contribute to religious education, assist in religious services, and engage in religious practices, such as leading prayers or devotions and sharing testimonies, with fellow staff and students. Teachers will provide an effective witness to the beliefs of NT Christian Schools and teach from a biblical worldview while also participating in staff and student devotions and prayer time. Teachers will reflect their growing relationship with Christ both in their professional and personal lives, modeling Christian principles consistently.

Primary Role
Teachers assist the principal in building and maintaining a healthy, strength-based learning community within the college. The teacher is responsible for partnering with parents to provide students with the nurturing and opportunities needed to reach their full potential within a supportive learning environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop teaching programs with a biblical perspective that meet the diverse needs of students and produce significant educational outcomes in line with the College's scope.
* Maintain and grow competence in current pedagogical practices, classroom management, and behavioral support.
* Complete record-keeping related to classroom performance, including assessments and mandatory reports.
* Work collaboratively as part of a flexible, team-oriented learning environment, striving for excellence.
* Use technology effectively, including computers, online platforms, and data management software.
* Maintain proficient accreditation/registration as a teacher and comply with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST).
* Contribute to the development, review, and delivery of educational programs and co-curricular activities.
* Support the campus by attending school camps, assemblies, and supervising playground, lunch, recess, and detention duties.
* Take on additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
Selection Criteria
* A committed Christian actively involved in your local church.
* Ability to effectively model and give an authentic witness to Christian values.
* Demonstrate or be willing to develop the ability to incorporate Christian beliefs into creating an environment that enhances student outcomes.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a relational approach to working with students, staff, parents, and the broader community.
* A pastoral commitment to nurturing students in a caring environment.
* Appropriate qualifications and experience in education, with a growing knowledge of pedagogy and innovation.
* A willingness to learn, grow, accept coaching, and strive for excellence.
Further Requirements
* Must hold a valid Working with Children (Ochre) Card.
* Must have a valid NT police check within the last 12 months, or provide an invoice/order for one.
* Must hold current NT Teachers Registration.
* Must hold a current NT Driver's License.
