About the Role
We are supporting a leading international renewable energy developer in the search for an experienced
HSE Manager
to oversee health, safety, and environmental performance on a major
onshore wind farm project
in Queensland.
This is a key
site-based
leadership role responsible for ensuring all construction and operational activities meet the highest safety and environmental standards. The HSE Manager will play a critical part in driving a proactive safety culture, implementing robust systems, and ensuring compliance with both company policies and Australian regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all HSE activities across the project site to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and project requirements.
* Develop, implement, and maintain HSE management systems, procedures, and plans tailored to the project scope.
* Conduct and oversee site audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
* Provide HSE leadership, guidance, and training to all personnel and contractors on site.
* Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in safety performance.
* Liaise with project management, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on safety and environmental objectives.
* Manage HSE reporting, including performance metrics, audits, and incident analyses.
* Ensure environmental compliance, including monitoring, waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
* Minimum 5-8 years' experience in HSE management within renewable energy, construction, or infrastructure projects.
* Demonstrated experience managing HSE programs on large-scale wind farm or renewable energy projects.
* Strong understanding of Australian OHS and environmental legislation and standards.
* Proven ability to lead diverse teams and build positive safety cultures on complex projects.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Current White Card and valid driver's licence.
