Reporting to the Principals, this is a full-time Senior Accountant role, where you will be responsible for day-to-day financial activities, preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities include :
Preparation of financial and management accounts, statutory returns (Income Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax, Land Tax etc. and related working papers) for a broad spectrum of individual, corporate and family-owned businesses operated as sole traders, companies, trusts and partnership structures.
Working on self-managed superannuation funds, including financial statements, tax returns and the preparation of the audit file for review by the independent auditor.
Preparation of annual / quarterly / monthly BAS and IAS and PAYG Instalment variations.
ASIC, Workers' Compensation and STP reporting.
Division 7A calculations, maintaining CGT registers for clients and maintenance of statutory registers for corporate entities.
Liaison with clients and other stakeholders (ATO, NSW Revenue, ASIC etc.) on client's matters.
Provide the principals with assistance in complex taxation issues and other ad hoc technical tasks.
Assisting clients with ad hoc accounting and taxation queries as they arise.
About You
Minimum 5+ years experience in accounting
High level of Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, and Budget Management skills
Experience in preparing and analysing financial statements
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
CPA or CA certification
Proficiency in accounting software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Adherence to budgets and awareness of timelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
