This exciting contract opportunity offers a blend of leadership and commercial finance, along with the enviable lifestyle of the beautiful Sunshine Coast, with flexible working arrangements available.About the OpportunityThe Financial Management and Commercial team oversees the University’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and advisory functions, supporting both operational and strategic goals. They enable data-driven decisions through business cases, cost models, and analysis, while providing expert advice to drive value and growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and management of the University’s short, medium, and long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting frameworks.Review and enhance the University’s strategic and operational financial management frameworks to align with current economic conditions and support long-term financial sustainability.Design and implement business cases, scenario planning, and financial cost models to support informed, data-driven decision-making.Deliver expert financial and commercial advice to support sustainable growth, optimise opportunities, and manage complex financial strategies.Drive continuous improvement across financial strategies and policies, ensuring they remain responsive, efficient, and aligned with the University’s changing needs.Lead and develop the Financial Management and Commercial team, building capability, financial acumen, and accountability across the organisation.About YouRelevant postgraduate qualification in Business or Commerce, with extensive experience in financial management and advisory.
