Overview
BDO’s Project & Infrastructure Advisory team is seeking professionals who are looking to step up in their career and are enthusiastic about managing and delivering Australia’s largest and most important infrastructure projects. Opportunities are available across Senior Consultant and Senior Manager levels.
About The Role
The team provides strategic, transactional, financial, and economic advice to public and private sector clients regarding significant projects, including business cases and feasibility assessments, financial modelling, transaction advice, cost benefit assessments, and financial due diligence. You will be involved in a broad range of Project & Infrastructure Advisory work including economics, procurement and transaction management. You will have the opportunity to work on the following types of transactions:
- Provision of written and verbal financial advice to all levels of government in relation to the assessment of proposed projects including advising on the procurement of large projects
- Development of bespoke financial models to support business cases and/or project finance advisory engagements
- Provision of financial advisory services to consortia bidding for large infrastructure assets
Further opportunities include involvement in other advisory work across economics, procurement, and transaction management.
About You
You will be a key advisor to some of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects, with a process-focused approach and confidence in your abilities.
Your Skills And Experience (May Also Include)
- 3-4 years of financial and commercial experience with infrastructure projects for Senior Consultant
- 8+ years of financial and commercial experience with infrastructure projects for Senior Manager
- General corporate finance experience, particularly with conducting financial due diligence engagements
- Highly numerate with excellent financial modelling and quantitative analysis skills, with strong Excel experience
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills with the ability to present concepts to clients
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of relevant markets
- Ability to guide junior team members and manage deliverables across engagements
- A strong academic record
- Postgraduate studies (e.g. CFA/CA), either completed or underway
