NurseU, the colourful, accomplished and caring nursing agency, is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Workers to join our team.
As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support and assistance to consumers in a Residential Aged Care setting.
Your primary responsibility will be to promote the well-being and independence of consumers while ensuring their comfort and safety.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide personal care assistance to consumers, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, utilising proper lifting techniques and assistive devices as needed.
- Monitor and report any changes in consumers' physical or mental condition to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with meals and/or feeding as required, adhering to any special dietary requirements.
- Engage in meaningful activities with consumers, such as conversation, reading, or recreational activities, to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Complete necessary documentation, including daily progress notes and incident reports.
**Requirements**:
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Personal Care Worker
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- Current National Police Check
- Up-to-date Influenza Vaccination
- COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster
- Currently hold or willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and infection control practices.
- Empathy and compassion for individuals requiring care.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license or a willingness to travel for work
