RAH is hiring a Casual/Temporary Home Care Support Worker role in Pyrmont, NSW.

About the role
We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable, and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team. It is preferred that you are an experienced Aged Care Worker or Disability Support Worker. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behavior, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in the home and in the community, such as disability care, aged care, personal care, domestic support, emotional and social support, safety and health monitoring, and transport services.
- Help people with disabilities live independent lives by providing care and support.
- Assist with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and preparing meals.
- Organize social and recreational activities to promote inclusion.
- Monitor clients' health and medication and provide emotional support.
- Work with a team and keep records of care.
Qualifications:
- Updated CV/Resume with (2 Referees)
- Visa and Passport or Proof of Australian Citizenship
- Photo Card
- National Crime Record Check and Australian Federal Police Check (recently completed within 12 months)
- Certificate III or IV (if Age Care, Disability and Individual Support)
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Proof of immunization
- Driver's license, Car registration, and Car Insurance (if you have)
- WWCC (if you have)
- NDIS Clearance (if you have)
Preferred Skills:
- Robust manual handling experience
- With hoist experience
- Must have a minimum 1 year of previous experience in aged care, disability, home & community care
- Knowledge of person-centered care principles and safety regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
