Milikapiti Sports & Social Club (MSSC) is an Indigenous community‑owned club located on Melville Island in the Tiwi Islands. We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our team and provide high‑quality meals to our community and club patrons.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a remote community, can work independently, and takes pride in preparing hearty, homestyle meals.

About the Role
Reporting to the MSSC Managers, you will be responsible for operating the bistro/takeaway kitchen, catering for community functions, and supporting our local football club during AFL home games.
This position is suited to a single person who is comfortable working autonomously.

Key Responsibilities
Operating Hours:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday – 4:30pm to 7:30pm
* Prepare hot meals, pizzas, takeaway dishes, and fresh salads
* Plan weekly menus and manage stock ordering within budget
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment
* Cater for special events and AFL home games as required
* Unload stock from the barge and restock fridges/freezers (heavy lifting involved)
* Perform additional duties as directed by MSSC Managers

About You
* Experience in cooking essential (roasts, curries, pasta dishes, pizzas, salads, etc.)
* Food Safety Certificate required (Food Safety Supervisor Certificate preferred)
* Physically fit and able to handle stock deliveries
* Self‑motivated with strong time‑management skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a small team
