The Role
In accordance with Agency policies, procedures and guidelines, provide a high standard of Food Service to hospital patients, staff and patrons of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH).
* In accordance with the relevant codes of practice, assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas.
* Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
* Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.
Appointment Details
Permanent, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 40 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. For a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
