We are seeking a skilled Relationship and Compliance Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure requirements and commitments are effectively managed.
* Develop and implement a compliance calendar to capture critical milestones and reporting obligations.
* Create and regularly review a compliance strategy for operational assets based on regulatory requirements, company processes, and standards.
* Roll out and maintain internal compliance with the management system, ensuring adequate tools are in place or making recommendations as needed.
* Provide training and guidance on quality procedures to site teams, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and compliance requirements.
* Develop and maintain the compliance register.
* Deliver monthly reporting on progress against yearly compliance commitments and the strategic plan.
* Work with the community engagement officer to ensure compliance is maintained and information is captured, documented, and recorded in the site compliance register.
* Support the operations team by highlighting areas of weakness and assisting with implementing improvement actions.
* Develop and implement an internal audit strategy covering asset compliance, site processes, and corporate compliance requirements.
* Consult with stakeholders, including government departments, councils, legal teams, and landowners, to ensure commitments are communicated and achieved.
* Participate in contract reviews to assist with lessons learned and continuous improvement.
* Assist with acquiring and maintaining ISO certifications within the framework set up by the business.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with demonstrated expertise in compliance and risk management.
* Ability to work with various stakeholders at all levels, lead by example, and drive positive outcomes.
* Qualification in risk and compliance management is desirable.
* In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
* Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Previous experience with reporting and record-keeping.
* Knowledge of the energy industry is advantageous.
