We are currently looking for a general labourer/operator to join our team based at Carwarp, Mildura & Murray VIC.
Reporting to the Construction Manager you will be working on all areas of general maintenance for the site:
Safely operate a forklift to support site logistics and material handling activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of laydown areas, including waste removal and material repositioning.
Assist with demobilisation tasks such as packing, loading, and relocating equipment or materials.
Conduct pre-start checks and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
Operate the water truck in accordance with site requirements to manage dust suppression, road compaction, and general water distribution.
Follow designated routes and schedules, ensuring safe operation around personnel and equipment.
Perform basic maintenance checks and ensure the vehicle is kept in good working order.
Operate the zero-turn mower to complete landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks as required.
Maintain clear, tidy, and hazard-free outdoor work areas.
Undertake basic equipment care, including cleaning and reporting maintenance needs.
Assist with a wide variety of site tasks as directed by the Construction Manager, including labouring, housekeeping, equipment moves, and general operational support.
Participate in toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and safety briefings to maintain a strong site safety culture.
Ensure all activities comply with site safety policies, environmental requirements, and operational standards.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Valid forklift licence.
Experience operating mowers or similar equipment.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions from site leadership.
Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.
Ability to perform manual handling and general labour tasks as required.
