The Opportunity
Working closely with the business leadership team, the Financial Controller will oversee the full financial rhythm across several related entities. The role involves managing reporting cycles, ensuring compliance obligations are met, keeping cashflow under control, and producing information that genuinely helps operational decisions.
This position is offered at around 30 hours per week, with flexibility to structure hours and days. A casual engagement option is also available.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and maintain monthly management profit reports and summaries for senior stakeholders.
* Support and track aged debtors, follow up discrepancies, and keep communication lines open with operations.
* Oversee general accounting functions including billing, payroll inputs, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger integrity.
* Manage BAS preparation, compliance lodgements, and liaise with external accountants and the ATO when required.
* Maintain cashflow forecasting, highlight risks, and support timely financial decisions.
* Contribute to budget preparation and forecasting, ensuring accurate data flows and appropriate controls.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
* Supervise a capable finance/administration assistant and assist with ad-hoc administrative projects where required.

About You
* Proven experience in a similar finance or management accounting role, ideally across multiple entities or business units.
* Excellent understanding of accounting fundamentals, BAS, and cashflow management.
* Clear, proactive communicator who can translate financial data into meaningful insights.
* Strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and comfort working both autonomously and collaboratively.
* Formal accounting qualifications (Degree, CPA, CA) are welcomed but not essential—experienced bookkeepers or financial managers with the right capability are encouraged to apply.
* Based on the Sunshine Coast with flexibility to attend the office part-time following initial onboarding.
