We are recruiting a 37.5‐hour Support Worker in Peterhead to help a group of adults with learning disabilities, autism and Down syndrome live independently in their own homes around Peterhead Town Centre. The role involves supporting day‐to‐day activities, organising group events, administering medication, cooking, cleaning and financial management.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and Down syndrome to achieve independence in their homes.
* Assist with daily tasks such as medication administration, cooking, cleaning and financial management.
* Support clients in attending and organising group events (e.g. cinema, arts and crafts, concerts).
* Deliver care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekend duties and night shifts (10 pm to 8:30 am).
* Communicate openly and honestly with clients, colleagues and family members.
* Adhere to legal and organisational safeguards, including the requirement for a female colleague for this particular role.
Qualifications & Requirements
* UK driving licence is beneficial but not essential.
* Female colleague required – genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
* Reliable, honest and able to communicate well with everyone.
* Passion for supporting vulnerable adults and a willingness to go the extra mile.
