Your Opportunity
As an Educational Team Leader in Technology (ICT) you will have the opportunity to continue your practice as an educator while growing your leadership experience and capability by providing leadership and supervision embedded within teaching teams to achieve effective and high-quality delivery to students, and promote job satisfaction and improved quality of working life for teaching teams.
The Role
We have an exciting temporary full time position available from 9 February 2026 until 31 December 2026, unless otherwise determined, to join our Educational Delivery team in Technology (ICT) at TAFE Queensland’s Ipswich or Toowoomba Campus (travel required across the region).
This position reports to the Faculty Director.
Salary
The salary range for an Educational Team Leader is $116,193 - $124,323 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must possess vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed within the Technology (ICT) training package.
Applicants Must Possess The Following
- current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
- current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
- evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
- current Queensland Driver’s licence.
Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (or TAELLN401A) and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools (or TAESS502A or TAEASS502B); or
- TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
- TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
- TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
- TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development or its successor; or
- A higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly Desirable
Candidates Who Possess The Following Will Be Highly Regarded
- High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).
- Five (5) or more years of teaching experience within TAFE Queensland, Vocational Education or another post-compulsory education experience.
- An approved teaching qualification.
