About the Role
As Team Leader Border Operations, you will lead a team of field-based officers, coordinating operations at saleyards and on properties, ensuring compliance with treatment regimens, and investigating non-compliant activity. You will act as a key point of contact for industry groups, stakeholders, and internal teams, contributing to the Department's strategic biosecurity objectives.
What You'll Do
* Lead and manage a team in the response and surveillance of cattle tick infestations across NSW.
* Oversee audit and verification programs to monitor compliance with treatment requirements.
* Provide clear, timely, and accurate advice to stakeholders, industry partners, and emergency response teams.
* Collaborate with compliance officers and other operational units to ensure consistent and effective regulatory outcomes.
* Deliver high-quality reports, briefings, and recommendations to support decision-making by management and executive teams.
About You
* Proven experience in compliance and enforcement within a regulatory environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team, conflicting priorities, and rapidly changing situations.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities.
* Certificate IV or higher in Government Investigations is highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
* Ability to travel throughout NSW and interstate, and work outside normal hours when required.
* Current Class C NSW Driver's Licence.
