Job Description
We are seeking a skilled professional to undertake various duties in carrying out designs and studies for civil and dams engineering projects. This will involve conducting site surveys, data gathering/analysis, field investigations, and feasibility studies for proposed projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for producing calculations, specifications, and drawings to ensure that technical design provides the appropriate solution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Professional working experience, ideally with a focus on dam safety and/or dam engineering
* Solid report writing skills with the ability to tell a compelling story
* Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Teams
* The ability to apply professional concepts and expand skills while performing various phases of engineering work related to water infrastructure, in particular dams and hydropower
* A desire to engage in all facets of dam engineering, for a range of dam types
* Development into a key member of the dams team, supporting colleagues in project-related work
