Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Glazier to join our professional team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the cutting, installation, and repair of glass and glazing products, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to Australian standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Measure, cut, prepare, and install glass for windows, doors, mirrors, partitions, and shower screens.
* Install commercial and domestic glazing systems, including aluminium framing and shopfronts.
* Remove broken or damaged glass safely and replace with new panels.
* Seal edges of installed glass using silicone, rubber strips, or other materials to ensure watertight and secure fittings.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Operate glass-handling tools, machinery, and lifting equipment safely.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with WHS regulations.
* Liaise with clients and team members to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.
Skills and Experience Required
* Minimum 2–3 years' full-time experience as a Glazier or equivalent trade role.
* Strong knowledge of Australian Standards for glazing (AS1288 and AS2208).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
* Competence in handling, cutting, and installing different types of glass.
* Sound understanding of safety procedures and manual handling requirements.
* Current driver's licence (essential).
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Glass and Glazing (or equivalent trade qualification).
* On-the-job experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
Employment Conditions
* Full-time, 38 hours per week.
* Salary: $77,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
* Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required depending on project needs.
