Expression of Interest – Procurement Officer (APS 4–6)
Are you a motivated procurement professional looking to make an impact in the public sector? We are seeking expressions of interest from skilled and ambitious individuals for upcoming Procurement Officer roles (APS 4–6) within our dynamic government agency.
About the Role
As a Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the procurement and contract management functions across a range of programs and projects. You will work within established Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and governance frameworks to deliver value‐for‐money outcomes, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to continuous improvement in procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing procurement activities across multiple categories.
* Prepare tender documentation, evaluate supplier submissions, and support contract negotiations.
* Ensure compliance with CPRs, PGPA Act, and internal governance requirements.
* Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and reports.
* Contribute to supplier performance management and relationship‐building initiatives.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in procurement and/or contract management, preferably within the Australian Public Service or large organisations.
* Strong understanding of Commonwealth procurement frameworks, governance, and compliance obligations.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and liaise with internal stakeholders.
* Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
