The role, plainly
This is a senior in-house role with a strong outbound focus.
You'll be responsible for how we identify, approach, and build relationships with experienced people we'd like to work with over time. Much of this happens before there's a formal role. It means staying close to August's long-term direction, shaping positions well before they exist, and pressure-testing assumptions about timing and capability with senior leaders.
When we do bring people in, we often do it deliberately and in small groups. People who raise the standard together. This is not a volume role. It\'s about sequencing, follow-through, and care.

What you\'ll actually be doing
* Leading outbound conversations with senior talent across disciplines
* Building and maintaining long-running relationships with people we admire
* Working with leaders to shape roles and timing before they\'re formalised
* Designing and running a considered, onboarding-style process from first contact
* Writing outreach, briefs, and updates with clarity and warmth
* Delivering difficult messages with steadiness and respect

* An existing network, and the instinct to build one patiently
* Comfort with outbound approaches and long lead times
* Confidence to have direct, respectful conversations
* Discretion with sensitive information
* Experience supporting leaders through complex people decisions
* A strong sense of craft in written communication
