**About the Role**:
The Wellbeing Workforce in the South East Region is a growing team passionate about helping students from Prep to Year 12 with their mental health needs. We work with students to connect, engage, and support them to maximise their education outcomes.
**The Wellbeing Workforce Social Worker will**:
- Implement strategies to improve student non-attendance, school refusal, and address the personal and academic impacts of suspension and exclusion.
- Help students and parents/ carers to navigate the welfare systems and access relevant support.
- Provide a holistic approach in recognising barriers for students, and families, in engaging in education.
- Provide professional social welfare assessments, interventions, and follow up support.
**About the Scenic Rim**:
Set in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, the Scenic Rim is a thriving rural paradise. The region borders Gold Coast City, Logan City, Ipswich City, Lockyer Valley Region, Southern Downs Region, Tenterfield Shire, Kyogle Shire and Tweed Shire and covers 425sq kilometres. **About You**:
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- Tertiary degree in Social Work with AASW registration eligibility
- Current Blue Card, or willing to obtain prior to commencement
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
