Cardijn College Galilee in Aldinga enrols students from Reception to Year 9, providing a nurturing environment with an emphasis on ecological awareness and a personalised sense of belonging.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Middle School Teacher to teach English, HASS and Religion for a full-time maternity leave replacement position from Term 2, 2026 through to the end of the school year. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the learning and wellbeing of students during this important stage of their development.
About the Role
As a Middle School Teacher at Cardijn College, you will:
Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned learning programs in English, HASS, and Religion.
Design and implement inclusive learning experiences that cater to varied student abilities and learning styles.
Build positive and supportive relationships with students to foster a sense of belonging and confidence in the classroom.
Provide timely and constructive assessment, feedback, and reporting to students and families.
Create a structured, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.
Engage in collaborative planning and work closely with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the Middle School.
Contribute to the Catholic identity and Marist ethos of the College.
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Current South Australian Teacher Registration.
Demonstrated capacity to teach Middle School English, HASS, and Religion.
Strong pedagogical knowledge and the ability to differentiate learning effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working positively within a team environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage the diverse needs of Middle School learners.
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice.
A genuine willingness to uphold and contribute to the culture, values, and ethos of Cardijn College.
Mandatory Requirements
Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC).
Relevant First Aid certification.
COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory; however, CESA recommends maintaining current vaccination status.
