What does the job look like?
We're currently looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to support the day‐to‐day transport operations at site and help drive safe, compliant and high‐performing outcomes.
This is a hands‐on leadership role where you'll work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure resources are effectively utilised, service targets are met, and safety and compliance standards are consistently upheld. Key areas:
* Supervise day‐to‐day transport operations, including driver scheduling, route execution and service performance
* Lead, support and coach drivers to operate safely, efficiently and in line with performance expectations
* Manage Chain of Responsibility (COR), fatigue, mass and axle compliance across company and subcontractor fleets
* Monitor transport KPIs, analyse performance and implement corrective actions
* Coordinate fleet availability, subcontractor engagement and seasonal resourcing
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across transport processes and systems
* Ensure compliance with all BevChain and Linfox safety, training, telematics and maintenance systems
* Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
* Act as delegate for the Transport Manager as required
Are you the one?
You're an experienced transport leader who understands the pace and pressures of a busy FMCG or logistics operation. You're comfortable being hands‐on, leading from the front and supporting your team to deliver safe, compliant and efficient outcomes every day. You can demonstrate:
* Proven experience supervising transport operations within an FMCG, retail or logistics environment
* Strong understanding of transport compliance, COR and safety legislation
* Experience leading operational teams in a fast‐paced environment
* Ability to analyse performance data and drive operational improvements
* Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with customers and subcontractors
* A proactive, solutions‐focused approach and commitment to safety
