Our client is a diverse property development, management, and construction business with operations across major commercial, industrial, residential, and retail projects in Victoria.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the businesses services division. This role involves close collaboration with divisional managers and accounts staff, ensuring robust financial reporting and compliance while driving operational insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing general accounting functions including reconciliations, invoicing, journals, and ledger management.
- Preparing quarterly BAS returns, GST reconciliations, and management workpapers.
- Preparing monthly management reports, annual accounts, and supporting statutory reporting requirements.
- Assisting with audits, including Real Estate Trust and Owners Corporation compliance.
- Partnering with operational teams to provide insights on income, costs, and debtors.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will hold (or be working toward) a CA/CPA qualification with a relevant degree in Accounting or Finance. You will bring 2–4 years of accounting experience, strong technical skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced property group.
