About the role
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team primarily at our clinic Baxter Park Medical Centre in Frankston South, Victoria for Monday and Friday. This is a casual role, providing you with the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.
Ability to fill in shifts at our sister clinics in Endeavour Hills and Pakenham will be looked upon favorably. Please list your availability in your cover letter.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting and welcoming patients in a professional and courteous manner
* Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar effectively
* Accurately processing patient registrations, verifying insurance information, and collecting payments
* Handling incoming phone calls and responding to patient inquiries in a timely manner
* Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
* Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
* Computer literacy and proficiency in using medical practice management software - Best Practice preferred
* A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients
* A team player who is adaptable and willing to learn
* Ability to work autonomously
