* Utilise your Human Resources expertise to provide support and advice to the Employee and Workplace Relations branch * A Fixed-Term opportunity with flexible work arrangements within a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service for 2 years * VPS Grade 6: $138,631 - $185,518 plus superannuation. About the Business Unit: People, Safety, Culture and Communication's core functions span the breadth of workplace cultural, and people matters, including human resources policy and strategy; organisational culture and change; recruitment, redeployment, and retention; performance and development; pay, benefits and workforce reporting; occupational health and safety management; and employment regulations. Employee and Workplace Relations is responsible for management of the Justice portfolio's industrial relations program, the management of departmental employee relations issues, the department's Human Resource Business Partnerships and also administers the internal review of actions process. About the Role: The Senior People Management Partner will operate as part of a large, centralised HR team which includes both strategic and operational focused professionals. Some of your duties will include: * Proactively coaching, supporting and providing feedback to people managers at all levels to uplift people management capability on effective approaches in managing people, resolving conflict, performance management and identifying opportunities for early resolution of workplace relations matters across Corrections Victoria * Supporting and managing workplace relations issues, providing advice on appropriate action ensuring relevant legislation, industrial instruments and HR policies are applied with a focus on early intervention and local resolution * Developing tools, training and strategies in collaboration with other areas of People, Safety, Culture and Communication to support people managers have meaningful conversations and develop positive working relationships with team members to create a collaborative, professional and engaged workforce. About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess: * A specialist understanding and significant experience in the application of the legislative and industrial framework that applies to the Victorian Public Service, including the Public Administration Act 2004 and its associated Regulations, the Fair Work Act 2009 and the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2024. * Advanced experience in case managing a range of human resource issues, with extensive knowledge of employee relations management and of contemporary developments in human resource management. * Significant experience in providing specialist and strategic human resource advice to senior stakeholders, preferably within a Government workplace.
