Culinary Expert Wanted
We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our patients.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality meals and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare nutritious food in a timely manner, ensuring the cleanliness of kitchens and food preparation, disposing of unused food appropriately, and ordering food supplies.
* Demonstrate cost-effectiveness by using produce effectively and managing waste.
* Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a positive team culture, supervising and providing guidance to kitchen staff, and by liaising with dieticians and other staff to create an experience that makes a difference.
* Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
* Supports Healthscope's safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in team meetings, quality and audit activities, and ensuring compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.
Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
* Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations.
* Available for shifts over a 7-day roster including weekend work.
* Previous experience as a chef in a busy restaurant, club, hospital, or hotel food service environment is preferred.
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for delivering high-quality meals.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
* A mindset focused on enhancing the dining experience - less 'hospital' more 'hospitality.'
