About the role
This tremendous role offers the opportunity to work in close partnership with the Headmaster acting as his 'trusted advisor.' You will be responsible for bringing a fresh perspective and a contemporary approach to the way things are done.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide high-level executive support to the Headmaster, including diary management, correspondence, and meeting coordination
* Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing enquiries with professionalism, discretion, and warmth.
* Prepare and proofread documents, reports, and communications on behalf of the Headmaster
* Organise Board and leadership meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up on actions
* Liaise with parents, staff, students, and community partners to ensure effective communication and positive engagement
* Coordinate confidential and sensitive information with the utmost integrity and discretion
* Monitor and prioritise incoming correspondence and requests, flagging urgent matters and ensuring timely responses
* Maintain accurate records, files, and databases to support the Headmaster's office
* Provide administrative support for strategic projects, initiatives, and reports as required
* Build strong working relationships across the school community to support the Headmaster's leadership and vision
Skills, Experience and Qualities
* You are an exceptional manager of time. Not only yours, but also that of the person you support. This Headmaster is hands on and prioritises relationship building with the school community. Your role will be to enable him to do so by managing his time accordingly
* You have a natural ability to remain calm under pressure and can juggle conflicting priorities at any given time
* Integrity is a core value, you are professional, discreet, and respectful to the responsibility that comes with this position
* Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to build relationships, navigate sensitive situations, and respond with empathy and kindness
* As this is a senior executive support role, you will have previous experience in a similar position (though education experience is not essential)
* Confident with modern technology, continuously learning and embracing emerging technologies to drive efficiency and innovation.
