The Finance Unit within the Office of the Chief Finance Officer at Townsville HHS plays a critical role in delivering strategic financial leadership, governance, and operational excellence. Located at Nathan Business Centre, this unit oversees financial accounting, revenue services, and financial systems across the health service.

* Salary: $169,261 per annum ($ per fortnight) (HSO1).
* 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with % loading.

About your opportunity
As Director Financial Accounting, you will lead strategic financial operations across Townsville HHS, including statutory reporting, treasury, taxation, and revenue services. This high-impact role supports executive decision-making and ensures compliance with financial governance frameworks.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Business in Accounting, Commerce or equivalent.
* CPA/CA designation or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded (MBA, MPA).
* High-level experience in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance.
* Knowledge of public sector financial frameworks and accounting standards.
* Experience in revenue optimisation and financial systems (e.g. SAP S/4HANA).
* A probationary period may apply.
