Some of the practical activities of the role include: Assisting senior staff on investigations for contaminated sites, groundwater, asbestos, site remediation, acid sulfide soils and waste classification Visiting a variety of sites from residential, industrial and rural areas to undertake environmental and geo-environmental assessments Carrying out field investigation works including soil, groundwater, surface water and over-water sediment sampling in connection with site assessments Organising field investigation works and managing subcontractors Adhering to relevant Work Health and Safety requirements Utilising QGIS and other specialised software to analyse projects and determine solutions.
