What You'll Be Doing
One-on-one support for clients on their mental health recovery journey
Provide holistic supports that ensure clients wellbeing and healthcare needs are taken care of
Coordinating services and navigating mental health systems
Setting person-centred, recovery-focused goals
Deliver essential outreach services
Helping individuals build personal capacity and stability
Thriving in a diverse, fast-paced environment
What You'll Need To Succeed
We're looking for someone who brings both expertise and heart to the role.
To thrive as a Mental Health Recovery Coach, you'll need:
A Certificate IV in Community Services, Mental Health, Aboriginal Health Care or Enrolled Nursing (or a similar relevant qualification)
Experience working with vulnerable people, with a genuine commitment to supporting their wellbeing
A strong understanding of the Recovery Model of Care, and how to apply it in real-world settings
Knowledge of local mental health, healthcare and community service providers, and how to connect clients with the right support
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
A problem-solving mindset and a proactive, can-do attitude
The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across diverse teams and communities
Sound computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems and software
A current Australian driver's licence and the flexibility to travel as needed for outreach and client support
