The Opportunity
This is a site based fixed term contract position where you will oversee the construction of our $100M flagship Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) in Hume, Canberra. The project commenced in January 2025 and is scheduled for completion in April 2028. Demolition of the old buildings is complete, along with the majority of the design for the new MRF facilities. Drawing on your track record of managing waste/industrial/civil infrastructure projects ($75M+), you will manage the completion of the construction of the new MRF buildings and site infrastructure followed by installation of the recycling equipment. Your ability to manage contractors, control costs and maintain careful contract management will be key to your success.

What you'll be responsible for
* Lead the ACT MRF project delivery team on site, along with remote support functions
* Integrate and manage internal support functions including Technical, Commercial, SHEQ, Legal, Operations and Finance during delivery
* Coordinate with the Builder, Veolia's environmental planners and the Territory Planning Authority to ensure approval of the DA (already lodged)
* Manage the project to ensure compliance with Head Contract conditions including coordination with ACT Government entities
* Tightly manage and drive Veolia's two main subcontractors (Builder and Technology Supplier) to ensure compliance with program, budget, safety and other subcontract conditions.
What you'll need to be successful
* Degree in Engineering/Project Management or similar
* Extensive demonstrated track record of managing similar projects
* Demonstrated track record of managing waste/industrial/civil infrastructure projects over $75M.
