About this role
What you'll do
* Provide specialist advice and consultancy in the development and implementation of the DoH workforce plan.
* Lead the liaison activities between HRB and other Divisions and Branches and across the Department in the effective development of a Department of Health workforce plan and action plans that aligns to the Queensland Health Workforce Strategy.
* Represent the HRB at meetings/forums related to workforce planning and design.
* Provide expert advice in the development and implementation of workforce planning strategies, frameworks, tools and reporting mechanisms and undertake continuous review to identify improvement opportunities to ensure that they are aligned to supporting the achievement of organisational objectives.
* Manage significant and complex workforce planning projects and initiatives.
* Lead and provide expert guidance to the workforce planning and attraction team developing internal capability to strengthen service delivery.
* Work collaboratively with all areas of HRB to build internal capability and improve the quality and level of services being provided.
* Lead the engagement in the monitoring of data quality and information management - in accordance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
* Demonstrated competence in the identification, development and implementation of workforce planning strategies in a large, complex organisational environment.
* Demonstrated competence in the development of workforce planning plans, tools and resources in a large, complex service delivery organisation.
* Demonstrated competence in project management of complex and time-critical projects, including the ability to respond and adapt to changing priorities and competing demands.
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, presentation and client relationship management skills, including achievement in cultivating productive working relationships, partnerships and teamwork and negotiate and influence outcomes and effectively represent the interests of the Department in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated capability in the preparation of high-quality written communications, briefs, reports and correspondence for key stakeholders.
