About the role
The Lodge Group is Rodd & Gunn's wholly owned and operated hospitality group of venues and this is an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Executive Chef. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations across our restaurants across Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the dining experience for our guests and driving the company's culinary vision.
What you'll be doing
* Develop and manage the menus across our restaurant portfolio, ensuring exceptional quality, creativity and alignment with the company's brand and vision
* Lead and inspire a team of talented chefs, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
* Oversee kitchen operations, including budgeting, inventory management and food safety compliance
* Collaborate with the management team to identify and implement new menu items, seasonal offerings and culinary trends
* Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and local producers to source the highest-quality ingredients suited to profit expectations
* Contribute to the ongoing development and training of the culinary team
* Ensure exceptional standards of food presentation and service delivery
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as an Executive Chef or multi-venue Head Chef role
* Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring culinary teams
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills to effectively oversee kitchen operations
* Ability to work collaboratively with the management team to drive innovation and continuous improvement
* Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating visually appealing, delicious dishes
* Proficient in food safety and health regulations
* Must have Australian work rights
