Coral Sea Clinical Research Institute (CSCRI) is an internationally recognised clinical research facility, and the only regional private clinical trial facility north of the Sunshine Coast. Located in Mackay, CSCRI currently specialises in Phase II and III gastroenterology trials, but aspires to offer trials across a range of medical specialist areas.
CSCRI's primary principal investigator is an internationally recognised gastroenterologist focused on delivering high quality clinical trials that contribute to improving treatment outcomes for regional patients.
CSCRI has an exciting opportunity for an enrolled nurse to join our team as a Trial Nurse Coordinator to deliver clinical trials for global biopharmaceutical companies in Mackay.
The Trial Nurse Coordinator will work in conjunction with principal investigators and clinical trial managers and coordinators to build strong, collaborative relationships trial sponsors, and plan, coordinate and implement trials to ensure the best possible care for trial patients.

You will need to:
* have a nursing qualification with medication administration endorsement
* be registered with AHPRA
* have a high level of attention to detail, multitasking and prioritisation skills, communication skills, and an advanced level of empathy for both fellow colleagues and our patient population
* be highly motivated with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic
* be able to enjoy working in a small but growing team that supports each other to achieve the best outcomes for CSCRI and trial patients
* be computer literate
* be proactive and able to work independently to achieve desired results.
Phlebotomy experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
The position encompasses both clinical trial coordination and clinical nursing duties.
The Trial Nurse Coordinator will, together with the Clinical Trial Coordinator and trial Manager, support the delivery of a number of Phase 2 and 3 international clinical trials.
Enrolled nurses applying for the position will be trained to deliver clinical trials in line with trial protocols and governance frameworks, where patient safety is the primary priority.
This is a full-time 12-month, fixed term contract with the potential to extend. Remuneration will be negotiated based on experience.
