The Opportunity Assist allocated team with general labouring, preparation, and cleaning tasks within a shipyard environment as directed by immediate Supervisor/Coordinator. What’s involved Participate in Confined Space Entry, Sentry, and Fire Sentry duties. Assist tradespeople when required. Assist in all aspects of the docking evolution. Understand, embrace, implement, and comply with all Austal Policies and Procedures related to HSEQ. Hold self and workmates accountable to HSEQ standards. Ensuring good housekeeping is practiced. Holding self and others accountable to the quality standards. Continuous improvement Reduce waste in all its forms. You’ll need Essential: Ability to work autonomously or as part of as team. Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner. Ability to use standard hand tools. Hold good time management skills and ability to meet targets set by the supervisor. Current Forklift Ticket Desirable: EWP 11m. Working at Heights & Confined Space. Work in accordance with an issued permit. Demonstrate First Attack Fire Fighting Equipment. 1 year experience in general labouring. 1 year experience in Confined Space Entry Sentry and Fire Sentry.
