This role sits within the School of Social Sciences, part of the Faculty of the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. The School is an inclusive, interdisciplinary hub of nationally and internationally recognised scholars committed to transforming society through research, education and community collaboration. It encompasses a broad range of disciplines including Criminology, Public Health, Social Work, and Geography and Sustainability, and houses three key research centres. The School works closely with communities, policy-makers and industry to address issues of health, social disadvantage and injustice, and empowers students and staff to make meaningful contributions to a fairer, healthier society.

In addition to teaching, you will contribute to the development of high-quality research and curriculum that aligns with professional accreditation standards. You will collaborate with academic colleagues, community organisations, and industry partners to support impactful research and foster effective learning experiences. This role is ideal for someone passionate about advancing the social work profession and committed to creating strong partnerships across the university and broader community.
**About You**
We are seeking a passionate and experienced social work academic who brings a strong foundation in qualified practice, education, and research. You will have eligibility for AASW membership and at least five years of post-qualifying social work experience, along with a PhD (or significant progress towards one), or equivalent professional expertise. With demonstrated experience in innovative teaching methods, including the use of simulation and online delivery, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, practice-based curricula that meet accreditation standards and prepare students for real-world social work settings.
