**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Strategic Leadership**: Develop, implement, and evaluate the communications strategy, project management plan, and frameworks to achieve organisational, engagement, and mental health impact objectives.
- **Supporter Journey Planning**: Develop and deliver a detailed supporter journey plan, including audience-specific content, to support the event.
- **Analytics and Measurement**: Utilise analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication strategies and adjust strategies based on performance metrics.
- **Storytelling**: Inspire people to connect with our cause through compelling narratives.
- **Digital Platform Management**: Review and approve all communications, marketing, and digital engagement platforms, ensuring high-quality content and brand alignment.
- **Innovation and Best Practices**: Identify and implement innovative and best practice communications, public relations, and marketing initiatives to cost-effectively deliver outcomes.
- **Team Leadership**: Provide effective leadership to drive the performance and outputs of the Communications and public relations team, including technical support, best practice communications advice, high-quality content, approvals, and process and system improvements.
- **Stakeholder Management**: Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with beneficiaries, partners, and consultants.
- **Supplier Management**: Manage, procure, monitor, and evaluate the performance of supplier contracts.
- **Brand Management**: Ensure vision, value, and identity are consistently positioned.
- **Operational and Strategic Decision-Making**: Responsible for key operational decisions, plans, and budgets, and assist the CEO and board with developing strategic direction as a member of the Leadership Team.
**Skills and Expertise**:
**Essential**:
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in strategic communications, marketing, and brand initiatives with a strong digital focus.
- Demonstrated experience leading a marketing and communications team.
- Experience in campaign, event, and/or fundraising communication management and delivery.
- Excellent project management capability and organisational skills.
- Strong strategic, conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, and creative skills.
- In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of social media channels, management, trends, and innovations.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
- Stakeholder and agency management experience.
- Experience across digital platforms (social media platforms, Canva, websites, CMS, CRMs, apps).
- Continuous improvement/innovation mindset and experience in communications system and process improvement.
- Strong experience in brand management.
**Desirable**:
- A Bachelor of Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience delivering large-scale marketing campaigns using digital and traditional channels.
- Experience with fundraising.
- Previous experience in not-for-profit fundraising will be highly regarded.
