In December 2024, we began providing health, mental health, and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network. Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions. HCA also launched a 24/7 Virtual Care Centre (VCC), offering remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations to enhance onsite care for detainees

Join us in bringing a new approach to medical and wellbeing care for detainees by:
* Participate in the assessment, planning and implementation of care based on individual detainee AOD needs incorporating a holistic approach to primary health care service delivery.
* Undertake a wide range of clinical duties including but not limited to AOD health assessments, care planning, medication administration, health promotion and education etc, ensuring care is evidence based and delivered using clinical guidelines and practice to underpin competency.
* Work in collaboration with the primary health care team to ensure a multidisciplinary, coordinated and integrated approach to service delivery.
* Undertake person centred nursing assessments, utilising a range screening and clinical assessment tools.

What we’re looking for:
* Current AHPRA registration
* Relevant
qualifications
and experience including minimum 5 years’ clinical experience and minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in AOD Counselling.
* Strong communication and clinical skills
* Commitment to person-centred care
* Availability for casual shifts, including weekends and public holidays
* Experience working within a detention or correctional setting will be highly regarded
