Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for estimating, analysis and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.
Major Responsibilities

* Cost Calculation and Analysis: Prepare and analyse accurate costings for complex and large-scale construction, maintenance, or improvement works, including calculations for materials, quantities, and labour time.
* Cost Accounting: Conduct complex cost analyses for significant parts of the business or program to identify variances, suggest efficiencies, and improve profitability.
* Construction Project Budgeting: Track and monitor construction project budgets, reporting variances to senior colleagues and supporting financial control.
* Cost Control Implementation: Develop and implement project-specific cost control requirements in line with contractual obligations, objectives, and procedures.
* Problem Solving and Innovation: Analyse cost engineering challenges and provide innovative solutions, particularly in areas requiring evaluation of variable factors.
* Contractor Report Review: Review and provide analysis and commentary on contractor weekly and monthly cost reports to support program oversight.
* Data Collection and Analysis: Independently collate and analyse data using established tools, methods, and formats to support cost and performance reporting.
* Data Exploration: Use predetermined tools and methods to explore data and generate standard insights that inform decision-making.
* Insights and Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of data and analytics reports to support cost management and strategic planning.
* Document Preparation: Organise and prepare complex documents using standard office software; gather and summarise data for special reports and presentations.
* Operational Compliance: Identify and report instances of non-compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory codes, escalating issues as required.
* Personal Capability Building: Enhance personal capabilities through formal and informal training, development planning, and ongoing education.
* Maintain awareness of relevant technologies, regulations, and industry best practices. Other responsibilities as reasonably directed by leadership team.
Education And Experience Requirements
* Bachelor's degree combined with over 4 years relevant experience.
