Nurse Unit Manager Job Overview
This is a leadership position overseeing the day-to-day clinical and resource management of our Emergency Department.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Unit Manager to lead our team in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
* Leading nursing staff to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
* Overseeing daily operational management including clinical governance, staffing, and resource allocation.
* Driving initiatives for improved patient outcomes and service delivery.
* Supporting staff recruitment, rostering, and performance management.
* Contributing to hospital strategic objectives as part of the management team.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
* Current registration with AHPRA and relevant nursing qualifications.
* Minimum eight years' post-graduate experience with recent management experience in a hospital setting.
* Proven leadership skills to mentor, develop, and inspire clinical teams.
* Strong financial, human resource, and operational management skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
The ideal candidate has post-graduate qualifications in management or specialty nursing, experience in surgical, critical care, or emergency nursing, and membership of a relevant professional organisation.
