Based at Royal North Shore Hospital, the McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (MCCN) is a specialist nurse in Myeloma care, working within the values of the McGrath Foundation and Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 30 June 2027 (with possibility of ongoing employment)

Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2

Remuneration: $2, $2,577.70 per week

Based at Royal North Shore Hospital, the McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (MCCN) is a specialist nurse in Myeloma care, working within the values of the McGrath Foundation and Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).

What you'll be doing

The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (MCCN) is a specialist nurse in Myeloma care, working within the values of the McGrath Foundation and Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). The MCCN provides expert clinical care, leadership, and evidence-based support to Myeloma patients and their families, while coordinating multidisciplinary services. The role includes policy development, education, research, and clinical supervision of nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

* Registered Nurse/Midwife who has minimum 5 years full time post graduate experience with 3 years full time equivalent in the specialty field. In addition, the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification (minimum Grad Diploma/Certificate level) or evidence of working towards Masters level qualification.
* Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
* Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework.
* Demonstrated ability to undertake quality improvement and research activities that influence and enhance clinical practice and implement change.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
