Key Performance Indicators for Demand Planners
As a seasoned professional, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior sales and marketing leaders across the organization. Your responsibilities will include developing accurate demand-based sales forecasts using statistical forecasting software and commercial acumen.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and utilizing forecasting tools and processes for developing the demand plan. This includes managing key KPIs to measure the accuracy/bias in demand forecasts and drive improvement.
* Develop aggregate demand forecasts and supporting assumptions on a monthly basis for use in the Demand Review and Sales & Operations Planning Meetings.
* Utilize demand-modelling techniques, statistical analysis, and liaison with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to develop sales forecasts.
To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as a curious attitude. A background in forecasting, sales, marketing, or finance is essential, along with exposure or understanding of supply chain functions. Additionally, you should be able to see the 'big picture' while paying attention to detail and have confidence in running meetings with sales and marketing teams to understand their sales forecasts.
You will be expected to collaborate well within a team and across different divisions. It is also crucial that you are driven by continuous improvement and have advanced Excel spreadsheet skills. Furthermore, being comfortable and skilled at learning new ERP systems is vital for success in this position.
