What You Will Be Doing
Growth Strategy and Budget Management
* Lead campaign planning across seasonal moments, promotional periods, and product launches for retail clients
* Manage budget pacing and allocation across the portfolio, identifying where paid search spend is working hardest and where to scale
* Advise on how SEM investment should complement paid social and programmatic activity across integrated media plans
* Build annual media plans that connect channel investment to client revenue targets and commercial objectives
Platform Ownership and Technical Execution
* Own paid search strategy and execution across major retail and eCommerce accounts, managing a significant monthly portfolio across Google Ads, Shopping, and Performance Max
* Architect SEM campaign structures, intent capture frameworks, and bidding strategies across brand, generic, competitor, and Shopping campaign types
* Manage feed strategy, product‐level optimisation, and catalogue structure for eCommerce clients
* Identify performance trends and wasted spend, translating findings into clear and actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders
Client Reporting and Insights
* Build reporting dashboards connecting paid search performance to commercial outcomes, tracking ROAS, CPA, revenue contribution, and lead quality
* Translate SEM data into clear, commercially relevant insights for senior account leads and clients
* Present performance narratives and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders with confidence
Team Leadership and Development
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two to three paid media specialists, setting clear expectations and supporting their progression
* Review campaign work across the team, maintaining quality standards and accuracy across all active accounts
* Contribute to internal capability building by sharing frameworks, testing methodologies, and optimisation approaches
What You Bring
Experience Required
* 4 to 7 years in agency performance marketing, with deep hands‐on expertise across Google Ads, Shopping, and Performance Max
* Proven experience managing retail or eCommerce paid search accounts at scale, with a strong understanding of seasonal planning, promotional periods, and feed management
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team of paid media specialists, with a coaching approach to their growth
* Strong analytical capability, with a track record of turning biddable media data into optimisation strategies that drive real commercial outcomes
Technical Skills Required
* Advanced proficiency across Google Ads, Google Shopping, and Performance Max campaign management
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Advertising and SA360 for larger or more complex biddable portfolios
* Solid understanding of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking frameworks
* Proficiency in Looker Studio or equivalent for building performance dashboards and reporting outputs
